A comprehensive repair and maintenance capability is central to unmanned systems support. URS provides nose-to-tail operations and maintenance services for the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper armed, Remotely Piloted Vehicles (RPV)—also known as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Our personnel support 12 RPV/UAS launch and command sites worldwide.
Across the United States and in the field, thousands of mechanics work side-by-side with military counterparts to repair, overhaul and rebuild essential Army and Marine Corps tactical vehicles—including the HMMWV (Humvee) and M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. In Southwest Asia, URS is “forward deployed” with the U.S. Army as the primary contractor operating the Theater Provided Equipment Refurbishment repair facility. Our diagnostic and rebuild services for essential, battle-worn Humvees and other wheeled vehicles assure that these vehicles are ready to return to action.
Managing prepositioned stocks—essential to the support of missions in the most challenging environments in the world—requires both careful management practices and a flexible, experienced work force. With expertise across 140 different weapons systems, our personnel help ensure the readiness of Army Prepositioned Stock (APS) sites, which allows U.S. Army personnel to deal with any number of unforeseen events around the world.
